THE ARTIST
Nikhil Maheshwari
Fine artist and contemporary abstract painter based in Gurugram, India. His paintings explore colour, form, emotion and human experience through abstract and semi-figurative compositions.
PRACTICE
Colour, perception and expressive form.
Nikhil’s visual language is built with bold colours, geometric and organic shapes, expressive lines, fragmented forms and simplified figures. His work moves between expressive abstraction, Banaras-inspired scenes, symbolic portraits, devotional paintings and experimental compositions.
His artistic journey is also shaped by the way he experiences the visual world. Living with high myopia in both eyes and wet AMD in his left eye, he allows his individual perception of colour, shape, space and form to become part of the creative process.
NIKEARTWORLD is open to collectors, curators, galleries, interior designers and commissioned painting enquiries.
